More birds lose their homes for objectionable behaviors than for any other reason. It is a frustrating situation for the owner. Many of these birds find their way into rescue, but without intervention, a permanent placement is unlikely. The only solution is training. Although not difficult, successful changes must be approached in a systematic manner. This program will explore both the science and the art of establishing a viable program. (One hour and fifteen minutes followed by a question and answer period.)

Catherine J. Crawmer is a professional animal trainer. Her experience is widely eclectic in both the species she has worked with and the purposes for which they were trained. She has presented programs to both pet owners and the scientific community. Her animal training films are being used in such venues as the Florida State University psychology department to teach the principals of learning and seminars by other behavior professionals.
